20 YEAR VISION
First, I’m going to go to a community college and going to spend 2 years getting my prerequisites for USC so i can transfer. After I want to get a degree in mechanical engineering this is because it is way cheaper than going straight there and also I don’t think I have good enough grades to make it right away. After I get my degree I would either like to work for PG&E or Tesla. I would like to work on hands with equipment and maintaining them because I hate to work in an office environment without having moved to much.
The ways this would work is that I would take my core classes like math, English and history at COA or Laney which would take around 2 years for me. Then I would transfer to USC or another University that has the majors that I want and take them there. Finally, I would use the connections I made from my internship at PG&E to attempt to get a job there or try to apply for Tesla. Then try to maintain that job until I retire around age 55 to 60.
